Some wedding days just feel special from the moment you arrive—and Isobel and Matthew’s wedding at Ivy Spencer in London, Ontario was absolutely one of those days.
From the start, it was clear this was going to be a celebration rooted in deep connection. Their families and friends showed up for them in such a meaningful way, forming a large, joyful wedding party that truly reflected how loved these two are. Every laugh, every hug, every quiet moment felt genuine and full of intention. Being surrounded by people who know you so well creates a kind of magic you can’t plan—and Isobel and Matthew had that in abundance.
Visually, this wedding was a dream. It was one of the most classic yet modern weddings I’ve ever had the honour of capturing. Ivy Spencer’s timeless architecture paired beautifully with clean, contemporary details, creating a setting that felt elegant without ever feeling overdone. Every element—from the styling to the pacing of the day—felt thoughtful and refined, yet warm and inviting.
As their wedding videographer, I’m incredibly proud of the film I created for Isobel and Matthew. This was one of those days where everything aligned—the emotion, the movement, the energy—and being able to weave that into a story that reflects who they are means so much to me. I also had the privilege of working alongside an absolute dream team of vendors, all coming together seamlessly to bring their vision to life. When everyone is in sync, it truly elevates the entire experience.
Now, let’s talk about the weather—because it was hot. One of those uncomfortably humid summer days where the air feels heavy and time slows down just a little. But if there’s one thing this day proved, it’s that love (and a great group of people) can outshine even the most challenging conditions. The heat didn’t stop the laughter, the tears, the dancing, or the joy. If anything, it added to the story—proof that nothing was going to stand in the way of the day being exactly as magical as Isobel and Matthew had hoped.
Their wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do: capturing real emotion, strong connections, and days that feel deeply personal. Isobel and Matthew’s celebration at Ivy Spencer will stay with me for a long time—and I’m so honoured to have been the one to preserve it in motion.
