As a Wedding and Pet Photographer and Wedding and Pet Videographer, I’ve come to deeply appreciate weddings that reflect not just a couple’s love, but also their story. Sarah and Mike’s wedding at Guild Inn Estates in Scarborough was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
From the moment I first met Sarah and Mike during their engagement session—along the waterfront with their adorable pup—I had a feeling their wedding would be something special. Their love was easy to see, but it was the way they included their dog in that session that really sealed it for me. As a Toronto Wedding Pet Photographer, I always light up when couples involve their furry companions. They’re part of the family, after all.
While their pup couldn’t be there physically on the wedding day, Sarah and Mike found such a sweet and meaningful way to still include them. Each reception table was labeled with a custom table number that featured a photo of their dog—each one a different snapshot of their life together. It was such a heartfelt detail and honestly, one of my favorite personal touches of the whole day. Guests moved from table to table just to see each picture. It was a perfect reminder that love comes in all shapes, sizes, and species.
Their wedding took place at the very end of fall, with the last golden leaves hanging on and just a whisper of winter in the air. That glowing backdrop framed their day beautifully, making every moment feel cozy, intimate, and timeless. As a Scarborough Wedding Photographer, I love how Guild Inn Estates offers such a unique mix of nature, history, and elegance—especially when it’s lit up by that soft late-autumn light.
Sarah and Mike opted for a first look, which I always recommend for couples who want to slow down and soak everything in. It allowed us to capture all of their portraits, family photos, and candid moments before the ceremony even began. Not only did this make the rest of their day flow so smoothly, but it meant they could be truly present for every moment afterward—without having to worry about squeezing in more photos.
As a Candid Wedding Photographer and Candid Wedding Videographer, I aim to be a quiet presence—capturing all the real, unscripted joy that naturally unfolds. And there was so much joy at this wedding. The ceremony was heartfelt, their vows were deeply personal, and you could feel how supported and loved they were by everyone present.
But if I had to pick a moment that truly captured the spirit of the day, it would be the reception. The dance floor was electric—with disco balls catching the light, guests letting loose, and Sarah’s nieces absolutely stealing the show with their epic moves.
I created both photo coverage for Sarah and Mike, which allowed me to tell their story from every angle. As a Toronto Wedding Photographer I love creating wedding films that feel like an extension of the day—full of motion, music, and real emotion. Every giggle, every tear, every tiny hand twirling on the dance floor—it’s all in there.
To couples looking for a Scarborough Wedding Photographer or a Toronto Wedding Pet Photographer who sees the beauty in the candid and the unscripted—I’d love to connect with you. Whether you’re getting married lakeside, cityside, or somewhere in between, I’m here to help you capture it all in a way that feels true to you.
