With 25 acres of open space at Markham Museum, over 75 vendors, food trucks, dog games, giveaways, and more tail wags than I could count \u2014 it was truly the most epic dog-friendly event of the year in York Region.\n\nI had the absolute joy of capturing so many families \u2014 both two-legged and four-legged \u2014 and honestly, my cheeks hurt from smiling behind the camera. From first-time puppy parents to seasoned dog lovers, I met some of the kindest, warmest people who invited me into a little piece of their story. I can\u2019t say enough how much I love photographing these unscripted, joy-filled moments \u2014 especially when they include the entire family (yes, that means your pup too!).\n\nBut beyond the incredible energy and community at Barkham, I was reminded of something else: just how perfect Markham Museum is as a wedding venue.\n\nI\u2019ve always loved photographing love stories that feel real. And this venue? It gives couples space to breathe, to be present, to play. The heritage buildings, open grounds, and natural beauty make it easy to imagine everything from intimate elopements to big, beautiful celebrations \u2014 and yes, it\u2019s dog-friendly too. Which, let\u2019s be honest, is a must for so many of us these days.\n\nIf you stopped by my booth or stepped in front of my camera during Barkham \u2014 thank you. You made my day.
